The experience behind Ohere
Sen. Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, FNSE, brings extensive engineering, management and infrastructure experience to Ohere Building Limited.
His professional career includes approximately two decades of experience within the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, where he progressed through engineering and management responsibilities.
He subsequently served in senior positions within the Kogi State Government, including as Commissioner for Works and Housing. In that role he directed the supervision, inspection and delivery oversight of the state’s major infrastructure programme — roads, flyovers, drainage, healthcare and education facilities, public buildings and housing — including the multi-billion-naira Ganaja Junction Flyover in Lokoja.

Confluence University of Science and Technology
Osara, Adavi LGA, Kogi State
A new state university built from the ground up on a greenfield site near Osara — lecture blocks, a landmark gatehouse and campus infrastructure delivered while Sen. Ohere served as Commissioner for Works and Housing. Its teaching hospital is the Okene Reference Hospital, another facility from the same programme.
Ganaja Junction Flyover
Lokoja, Kogi State
A multi-billion-naira flyover built to ease chronic congestion at one of Lokoja’s busiest intersections — from pier formwork and reinforcement through to the finished structure and landscaped interchange. Sen. Ohere supervised the programme as Commissioner, monitoring progress on site.
Reference Hospital, Okene
Okene, Kogi State
A modern multi-storey referral hospital with a dedicated emergency wing, delivered under his oversight as Commissioner. It has since been designated the teaching hospital of the Confluence University of Science and Technology.
Now the CUSTECH Teaching Hospital, Okene.
Palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland
Okene, Kogi State
A landmark palace for the paramount ruler of the Ebira people — a stone gateway and complex blending traditional motifs with modern construction, delivered under his oversight as Commissioner for Works and Housing.
